Description
abiola is a sneaker both casual and trendy
The Ganvié model is among our first three models, but the only one with a sole in two colors red and white. All our sneakers are made of Wax Block cloth 100% cotton. A colored cotton gabardine is added to the cloth; it also covers the insole. The Wax Block is a special printcomposed of one or two main colors included in the wax printed drawing. Very communicating, the drawings always reflect both sides in mirrors. Every single inch of the cloth is unique due to the biological and magical process used to print it.
Ganvié is a lake village in the south of Bénin, located on the Nokoué lake, north of the city of Cotonou. Nicknamed “African Venise” it comprises a few thousands wood-framed houses, built on stilts. Roughly 30 000 thousand people live in Ganvié. Most of them make a living from fishing as well as tourism which is expanding. Today, Ganvié is the most important lake city of West Africa.
